First, let me say thank you to each and every one of you! While the election outcome is not what we wanted, there is so much to be grateful for – including over 807,000 voters believing in our message of leadership that puts Arizonans’ interests first. Yes, 48% of the voters heard our message because of your hard work – your volunteer time, phone calls, contributions, and emails.
I write this message with a tremendous sense of honor, humility and affection for all of my supporters. I appreciate your kind words, compliments and the amazing outpouring of encouragement that I have received. When I began this campaign, over 14 months ago, I vowed to run an aggressive campaign and to maintain my integrity and you helped me do just that!
Now it is time to look toward the future. It is crucial that we remain vigilant to create positive change in this great state of ours. There is much work to be done. We need to stay informed on the issues and make sure our friends and family understand the important decisions that will be made in the first six months of 2011: balancing Arizona’s budget, saving our public education system, re-vitalizing our economy and creating competitive political districts so that we can bring consensus and collaboration back to Arizona.
Today I ask you to take the next steps with me. I ask you to stay active and engaged. Please sign up for my email blasts and please become a Facebook Fan. I look working with you on these important issues.
True change never happens overnight; it takes perseverance, dedication and time.
Please have a safe and happy Holiday Season and then - let’s get back to work!
