Felecia Rotellini is First to File Nominating Petitions for Attorney General Race

Phoenix, AZ – On Monday, April 26th, veteran prosecutor and consumer advocate, Felecia Rotellini, Democratic candidate for Arizona Attorney General, became the first Attorney General candidate to file nominating petitions with the Secretary of State. Last October, Rotellini was also the first candidate to officially file a campaign committee to enter the race to replace Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard.

Felecia has garnered statewide support and signatures in almost three times the number of counties required to be placed on the statewide ballot for the Primary Election to be held on August 24th, 2010. Rotellini will continue to campaign and gather signatures in all counties of the state.

“I am deeply grateful to supporters and volunteers who have worked so hard to put me on the ballot as a candidate for Arizona Attorney General,” said Rotellini. “As a hands-on trial attorney and prosecutor with nearly 24 years of experience protecting Arizona residents, I know first-hand that we need an Attorney General's office that will fight to protect our families and children and to get things done.”

On Tuesday, April 27th, Felecia will launch the first leg of her Statewide Tour, "Fighting for Arizona Families." “Criminals and scam artists that target seniors will face tough prosecution. I will crack down on online and sexual predators that threaten our children and families,” said Rotellini. “As Attorney General, I will lead the fight against abusive and fraudulent mortgages that have cost Arizonans their jobs, homes, and savings.”

The first leg of the "Fighting for Arizona Families" Statewide tour will run from April 27-May 1, 2010. During the tour, Felecia will visit 5 communities in 3 counties, Mohave, La Paz, and Yuma. Other stops along the tour include: Kingman, Bullhead City, Lake Havasu City, Parker, and Yuma.
