WASHINGTON, D.C. -- EMILY's List, the nation's largest resource for women in politics, today announced its endorsement of Felecia Rotellini for Attorney General in Arizona.

"Felecia Rotellini is a frontline prosecutor and financial watchdog with a record of protecting Arizona consumers, investors and families," said Stephanie Schriock, President of EMILY's List. “She has been a true leader on issues critical to the people of Arizona, like combating mortgage fraud and helping victims of Ponzi schemes. I know that she will be a strong, independent voice who will expand opportunity for Arizona women and families, and EMILY’s List is thrilled to support her campaign.”

Felecia Rotellini is a veteran prosecutor and consumer advocate with 27 years of experience in private and public law. In 1992, after six years in private practice as a trial attorney, Felecia joined the Arizona Attorney General's Office where she gained experience in both the Civil and Criminal Divisions. In 2006, she was tapped to lead the Arizona Department of Financial Institutions.  There, she partnered with HUD to form the Mortgage Fraud Task Force that united regulatory agencies and city, state and federal law enforcement. In August 2009, Felecia received the "Excellence in Cooperative Law Enforcement" Award from the U.S. Attorney's Office for her agency's participation in "Operation Cash Back" that indicted 36 individuals involved in mortgage fraud.

During the 2011- 2012 election cycle, EMILY’s List helped elect an historic number of candidates – the only pro-choice Democratic woman governor in the country, 19 new women to the House, six Senate incumbents, and three new Senators – all the first women to represent their states in the Senate. And this cycle, women we’ve helped elect include the first Hindu and first female combat veterans to serve in the House, the first openly gay Senator, and the first Asian American woman to serve in the Senate. With a community that has quintupled since 2010 – now more than two million members strong – EMILY's List is one of the largest political action committees in the nation. Since its founding in 1985, EMILY's List has worked to elect 100 pro-choice Democratic women to the House, 19 to the Senate, 10 governors, and over five hundred women to state and local office. In the 2011-2012 cycle, EMILY's List had the largest number of members and donors in our 28 year history, and raised a record-breaking $52 million dollars.

EMILY's List's Political Opportunity Program (POP) helps pro-choice Democratic women run and win for state and local office. Since the program started in 2001, POP has helped elect hundreds of women across the country.
